What does each tracker cost to run?
Essential and Essential Plus are £7 a month. MetaTrak S5 includes the first year, then it is £189.95 a year, or £499.95 for three years. MetaTrak S5 Deadlock is the same: first year included, then £189.95 a year.
Do I need an insurance-approved tracker?
Only if your insurer asks for one. If your policy says Category S5, choose MetaTrak S5 or S5 Deadlock. For your own peace of mind, Essential is plenty.
Can Essential Plus stop my car while I am driving?
No. It only stops the engine being started. Block it from the app when you park, and unblock it when you want to drive.
What is the driver ID tag?
A small tag that goes on your keys. If the car moves without it, the MetaTrak control room treats it as unauthorised and alerts you. With Deadlock, the engine will not start without it.
Does MetaTrak work abroad?
Yes. MetaTrak works in the UK and across Europe, except Switzerland.
Will a tracker drain my battery?
No. It uses very little power when the car is parked, and you get an alert if your battery runs low.
